Application

Paraffin emulsions (also called wax emulsions) from chemiekontor.de is a water-based solution with a defined proportion of solid kerosene. Paraffin emulsions are used in paper production and coating, mainly to give the end product hydrophobic properties or to increase its resistance. This applies in particular to modern inkjet or thermal or thermal transfer papers. In construction chemistry, kerosene emulsion is often enough used in building protection, for example, in water-based coatings or for barrier formation against moisture. The easy, safe and fast processability, up to spraying, allows a wide range of applications.

Paraffin emulsion, like any other emulsion, consists of at least two immiscible products. Nevertheless, this physically special form enables corresponding advantages, which are ensured by the admixture of surface-active substances. Incidentally, many natural products are emulsions, such as milk.

Storage

Store only in the original container in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep container closed when not in use. Avoid direct sunlight.
